Shading and insect protection are two important parameters that every producer should take into account especially during the summer period when the sunshine is high and the population of harmful insects is increased.
Shading for every crop and not only
It is known that each crop has different requirements and different levels of tolerance to the hours and intensity of sunshine in order to be able to produce the maximum possible result. That is why our company has taken care to introduce shade nets of small, medium and large light transmission (40%, 50%, 70%, 90%, 95%) in various lengths and widths depending on the needs of each producer and in a variety of colors. Also with our own specialized 3-seam sewing machine we can extend the width of the nets if our customer requires a width of more than 6 meters without any risk of damage – tears in the net.
Another important use of shade nets is their application in water reservoirs – tanks where there are large losses due to evaporation. By placing a special mechanism to hold the net above the surface of the tank, we manage to minimize evaporation, thus saving irrigation water while reducing the cost to the producer from the losses.
In addition, the shade nets that our company offers are suitable to be used during the usual practice that is applied in Cyprus during the olive harvest. This is because they have high mechanical strength and do not tear easily during transport, dragging and loading.
In addition to their use for agricultural purposes, shade nets can be used for fencing, shading of premises and protection of buildings from birds.
