How to get your children to eat more vegetables?

A high intake of vitamins from nutritious and beneficial sources such as vegetables is particularly important for children. That’s why we urge you to apply the following tips that will make eating vegetables a breeze for our beloved children – especially Sweet Palermo, whose sweet taste everyone loves!

– If you put vegetables in a smoothie, wrap or pancake, your kids often don’t even realize they are eating healthy vegetables.

– Let your children help in the kitchen. If they have been involved in the preparation process, they will find the meal more interesting.

– Be imaginative. Make meals more fun for children by creating faces, figures and other food designs. Then they can pretend to eat what you have created rather than vegetables.

– Fresh pasta sauce is the perfect way to incorporate lots of vegetables into a meal. Children won’t even realise they are eating vegetables.

– Children often like raw vegetables. Give them a plate of coloured peppers or sliced cucumber as a healthy snack. You can also serve them as a salad with the main meal.

– Most children have a penchant for sweet flavours! This makes the sweet coloured pepper ideal. You can cook it separately before combining it with the other ingredients as this will further intensify the flavour of the dish.

– The latest trend is the Bento Box, a Japanese lunch box with several smaller boxes of vegetables that can make healthy eating more fun for kids. What will it contain today? It’s a surprise!

– Tell the children that you are proud of them for eating their vegetables. Don’t be sparing with your congratulations!

– Cut raw vegetables into tiny pieces and let your children sprinkle them over their food – they’ll love this “game”!

– And last but not least: never tell children “That’s healthy!” – Instead, say “This is delicious!”
